The Fullerton Inn in beautiful Chester, Vermont is hosting one, two and three day tours of Vermont Breweries. This is your chance to sample the fine brewed offerings of the unique Vermont breweries. There are currently twenty-seven breweries and brew pubs operating in the “Green Mountain State”. They range from intimate brew pubs offering several home brewed beers to medium sized regional production facilities. The Vermont brewers are an interesting group with some very nice brews to offer the beer aficionado. The “Vermont Brewery Tourery” offers beer lovers the safest, most scenic and entertaining way to sample the output of a whole lot of Vermont Breweries. The Brewery Tourery starts at the Fullerton Inn hotel and restaurant in Chester, Vermont. A quaint little village in Southern Vermont. Packages are available that include lodging, breakfast, dinner, and the tour. Guests depart the inn in the morning for a trip to up to five breweries and brew pubs. It is a good mix each day. Many of the breweries provide free samples. Several of the brew pubs make a good choice for an optional lunch break. After the tours conclude the guests are driven back to the Fullerton Inn for a special “beer themed” dinner in the tavern at the Fullerton Inn. The inn offers ten Vermont beers on tap and many more in bottles. The tavern is conveniently attached to the inn and was a bank at one time. The bar is carved out of the remains of old vault. You can see the thickness of the walls indicate the old vault’s remains. A cozy fireplace is prominent in the bar for those cooler fall evenings. |
