If you like beer, you’ve come to the right state. Vermont is home to the pioneering microbrewery. The State of Vermont actually has the most breweries per capita in the entire United State, with 27 operations statewide. Specializing in everything from delicious, hoppy IPAs to unique porters, Vermont brewers are on the cutting edge of the brewing industry. And Fullerton Inn offers the perfect cross section of the variety of beer across the state.
The Fullerton Inn Brew Tourery offers visitors the opportunity to experience all Vermont beer has to offer with one, two and three day tours of local breweries. This is your chance to sample the Vermont breweries’ finest and most unique offerings. They range from intimate brew pubs offering several home brewed beers to medium sized regional production facilities. The Vermont brewers are an interesting group with some very nice brews to offer the beer aficionado.
The “Vermont Brewery Tourery” offer beer lovers the safest, most scenic and entertaining way to sample the output of a whole lot of Vermont Breweries. It gets underway at the Fullerton Inn hotel and restaurant in the quaint village of Chester, Vermont. Packages are available that include lodging, breakfast, dinner, and the tour. Guests depart the inn in the morning for a trip to up to five breweries and brew pubs
After the tours conclude the guests are driven back to the Fullerton Inn for a special “beer themed” dinner in the tavern at the Fullerton Inn. The inn offers ten Vermont beers on tap and many more in bottles. The tavern is conveniently attached to the inn and was a bank at one time. The bar is carved out of the remains of old vault, providing a cozy atmosphere with a fireplace- perfect for those cooler fall evenings.

Schedule of Brewery Tours :
Thursday We leave Chester at Noon to visit Northshire Brewery in Bennington Vermont and then to Madison’s Brewing in Bennington, VT. Madison’s is a pub and lunch will be available there. Then we travel to McNeill’s Brewery in Brattleboro, VT. From there we ride up 91 to Harpoon Brewery in Windsor, VT. We then return to Fullerton Inn around 8 pm that evening for dinner. (Based on time we usually can visit the Whetstone Brewery in Brattleboro, VT)
Friday We depart Chester at 9:45am and travel to Morrisville, VT to visit Rock Art brewery. Then we visit the Lost Nation Brewery. From there we head back to Stowe, VT to the Trapp Family Lodge and the Crop Brew Pub. Next we head to the Prohibition Pig Cafe & Brewery in Waterbury, VT. Then we head back to the Fullerton in Chester around 7 pm for dinner. (Based on time we may include Long Trail Brewery at Bridgewater Corners.)
Saturday We leave Chester at 9:15 am and travel to Otter Creek Brewery in Middlebury, VT. From there we travel to Burlington, VT to visit Magic Hat Brewery and Switchback Brewery. Then we visit the famous Church Street station area of Burlington where you may visit either (or both) the Vermont Pub and Brewery or American Flatbread Zero Gravity Brewery and have lunch. After lunch we visit the Queen City Brewery in Burlington and then head to the Bobcat Cafe & Pub in Bristol, VT and then return to the Fullerton Inn around 7 pm for dinner. (Based on time we may visit Fiddlehead Brewery in Shelburne, VT, the Drop In Brewery in Middlebury, VT, Foley Brothers in Brandon and/or Four Quarters Brewery in Winooski.)
