What would a trip to Vermont be without a brewery tour? Vermont is said to have the most breweries per capita in America, with 42 brewing operations across the state. That is why we here at Fullerton Inn now feature the safest, most scenic way of seeing a sample of our state’s great breweries while staying here, with our renowned brewery tour.
Our Vermont brewery tour offers one, two and three-day specials, with lodging, food, and brewery included in the total price. Here are the details:
On Friday, we set out from the Inn in Chester, VT, and visit Northshire Brewery and Madison’s Brewing in Bennington, where we have lunch. We then make our way to Brattleboro, which is home to Whetstone Brewery, a brewery with outdoor decks and breathtaking views, Hermit Thrush Brewery, and McNeill’s. We return to the Inn around 8pm, where guests can stay for a beer-themed dinner in our cozy tavern.
On Saturday, we visit Morrisville, VT, in the morning for the Rock Art and Lost Nation breweries. We then make our way back to Stowe, a town that is home to the Trapp Family Lodge, Alchemist, and the Idyltime Brew Pub. Sometimes we include Long Trail Brewery, at Bridgewater Commons. Either way, we’re back at the Inn by 7pm for dinner.
Sunday is our Burlington day, where we visit Magic Hat and Switchback Brewery, after visiting Otter Creek in Middlebury. We then spend some time at the famous Church Street station, where tour goers are invited to hang out at Vermont Pub and Brewery, or the American Flatbread Zero Gravity Brewery, where 16 brews are offered on tap. Afterwards, we visit the Queen City Brewery, and head to Bristol for the Bobcat Cafe & Pub for a swig of Easy Rider, one of the brewery’s specialty Belgian pale ales.
Although dates are subject to change, the 2018 season currently includes the following times: March 23 to 25; April 27 to 29; May 25 to 27; June 15 to 17; July 27 to 29; August 24 to 26; September 21 to 23; October 26 to 28; and November 16 to 18.
