Wine Pairing Dinner – Celebrating Wines We Love – 30 November 2012
In this installment of the “Celebrating Wines” series we decided to select a group of wines that we were particularly fond of. these wines were varied and didn’t fit into any specific category. They were produced all over the world, and shipped to Vermont for us to enjoy!
The wines varied from the light and very drinkable Vinho Verde from Portugal to the big and bold Cigar Box Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile.
Again, Chef James and Chef Rene impressed our guests with creative, flavorful morsels that paired very well with then selected wines. The bacon wrapped local veal was a sure hit with the Chocolate Shop Cabernet Sauvignon. The Pecan Crusted chicken sang with the Wente Morning For Chardonnay. And we wrapped with the smooth and creamy eggnog cheesecake paired with the bold Cigar Box Cabernet Sauvignon. The guests left well fed!
It was a great group of attendees, who nibbled and sipped their way through the evenings offerings. Everyone seemed excited by the evening and look forward to our next event. Thank you all for coming and Merry Christmas!
